Mike Bunn with Historic Chattahoochee Commission announced the official opening of the Creek Heritage Trail today in Eufaula.

Lake Eufaula is 50 years old and to celebrate this milestone, The City of Eufaula is throwing a huge event. On July 6^th our Independence Day fireworks display will be held at Lakepoint State Park Resort at the marina.

For years Lasting Impressions' owner, Keith Pittman, has been dressing celebrities and pageant contestants that compete at the highest levels.  This year was no different in the Miss USA pageant. 

The Walmart FLW Tour was held in Eufaula on May 16 - 19.  This event will be shown on NBC Sports (channel 35) Sunday, June 23, at 10:00 am cst.  If you miss the opportunity to see it this weekend, the episode will be available at FLW TV.

Sallie Garrison began this past week as the Eufaula Barbour County Chamber Executive Director.  She will be working with all four chamber councils which include membership, tourism, community development and economic development.  Her first priority is to communicate to the businesses and individuals of Eufaula and Barbour County the Chamber's goal of improving the quality of life in our community.  Her plans include an improved partnership with our local government, area schools, service organizations and individual citizens.  She is seeking new members and has set a goal of 30 in 30, which is 30 new members in the 30 days of June.  If you know of someone who may be interested in becoming a member, please contact her at 334-687-6664 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
